May 14, 2019Mar 20, 2015. #1. Was wondering if anyone has a source for some chromite or heavy sand. I know Sinclair and some of the other benchrest sights sell the heavy sand but thought I'd try to get enough to fill a few bags verses the 15 pounds they usually sell. Thanks.

Dec 09, 2011Zircon or chromite sand is what your looking for, its heavier than silica sand. stuff works great for bench shooting but the type bag you pictured looks to be for F-class and I don't know if the heavy sand is the hot setup for that type of shooting but then I guessing at best as I have never used that type bag for any purpose.
